First Class @ NITIE ..........

My First Class @NITIE by Dr. T Prasad aka Dr. Mandi

It was the night of Sunday 16th June 2013 and I was ready for the first class of my MBA after a long experience of 39 months in Tech Mahindra. So I slept early as I didn’t wanted to be late on my first day. I was very much excited and I jumped every two stairs at a time. Excitement was at its peak during the first journey of 96 stairs. So, finally I reached ‘Syndicate 1’ room and session was about to start. We were waiting for our professor. The clock struck 9 and then we met an excellent professor Dr. T Prasad aka Dr. Mandi holding a bunch of simple items which caught my attention. This gentleman looked ordinary in first looks but when he started teaching it was an awesome experience. He is “The” brain behind the concept of “MANDI”. He taught the very basic of how to earn our bread while learning and motivated all of us. He taught two things.....
1. Socho Becho, Becho Seekho,  Seekho Socho.
2. Aaj ki roti, Aaj hi kamaayenge.

These two lessons are very important in everyone’s life. So I will follow them.
He also stressed on the way people perceive education system. I liked his idea of blogging as if every 500 students out of 1000, then there will be no need of books.
“One should aim to be the WALL, not the brick in the wall”. I heard the Pink Floyd song for the very first time and got its meaning.

“Socho Becho, Becho Seekho,  Seekho Socho“
To be a good manager, you must follow this principle. I aspire to be good manager and this first class taught me how to catch my dreams. The event ‘Mandi’ would be a platform which can help me hone my skills, improve my learning and give me an opportunity to experience the market. I understood that how one can earn with these toys. Even two of my classmates demonstrated and it gave me one learning that you should be very confident about your product.

Aaj ki roti..…Aaj hi kamaani.......
In the very first class, Dr. Mandi made to us realize that how much is the value of money. I just realized that I am actually spending 2500 per day. So the focus should be on that how one can garner or earn this much while learning. On same concept, HAMARA DHANDHA works. After class I saw one video on youtube in which some students were actually selling toys and earning money.

The way in which Dr. Prasad demonstrated these concepts was excellent. During the lecture I never touched pen as I was able to visualize the things. I never thought that my first class will be this much of fun and learning.

I hope I will learn many more things from him.
